What is landlord insurance?
This is a policy designed for a property that is vacant or tenant occupied. This is sometimes referred to as a dwelling policy. Please see our coverage options page for more details.

How is a landlord�s policy different form a regular home owner�s policy?
Most home owner policy's state that coverage is not provided when the home is vacant or rented to others. Landlord insurance is designed for the property owner that does not occupy the home.

What types of policies do you have for this?
The state has defined forms for dwelling policies. They are Texas Dwelling Policy 1 (TDP1), TDP2, and TDP3. The TDP1 has the least coverage and the lowest cost, the TDP3 has the most coverage and the highest cost. We can also offer coverage on a commercial form in most cases.

Do you have insurance for a duplex, triplex, or fourplex?
Yes, in most cases we can quote a policy for that.

What coverage options are there in addition to the form selected?
You can select how much coverage for the dwelling and contents, what deductible, and an option for liability coverage is usually available. You may also be able to select �fair rental value coverage�. Please ask one of our agents to review the options available. In most cases we can quote multiple options.

What are the payment choices?
For most policies we offer installment options.

What areas do you provide service for?
Anywhere within the state of Texas.

What types of discounts are available?
Available discounts may vary from one carrier to another. These may include over 50 year�s old discount, auto/home, claims free, and a monitored alarm discount.
